Difficult to Sue

Doctor

It is difficult to sue for malpractice against a doctor or a hospital.

On TV malpractice suits often comes with huge financial gains for the patient. And the good always wins over an arrogant doctor.

As you can see with the case of Vincent Liew, reality is different.

First, question yourself: are you indeed a victim of medical malpractice? Before you do anything else, get opinions from people who know what they are talking about.

Then, get a copy of all medical data. It is your right. Be sure to do it in writing, but don’t give a reason.

When you have gathered all the facts, consult with more than one attorney. You should make sure that the counsel you finally choose, has knowledge in your area of medical malpractice.

Then, you must have patience. And you must understand that this will be a fight.

The Donor’s was only revealed in an autopsy two weeks after her death. Instead of removing the transplanted kidney instantly, Dr. Diflo informed Vincent Liew of the risk of contracting the cancer. Liew allegedly wanted to keep the kidney.

But after Vincent’s dead, Widow Kimberly Liew sued NYU Medical Center.

A judge has now ruled that NYU Medical Center was not liable for Vincent’s death

Doctors and Insurance Companies love to tell of the medical malpractice lawsuit explosion, where, they blame lawyers for the insurance premium woes.

Statistics make it clear, that doctors are not on the short end of the malpractice crisis. The injured victims are the ones being short-changed. Laws, as well as general perception of medical malpractice claims make it very difficult for patients injured due to negligent medical treatment to get compensation to which they are entitled.
