Women Tried to Check In Dead Body

Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Let’s say you live in Britain. And let’s say you get a visit from a 91 year old relative that lives in Germany. During the visit at your home, the old relative dies. What do you do?

This happened to two women, 41 and 66, from Manchester. And they thought they came up with the perfect plan. Instead of paying hefty fees for transporting the body back to Germany, they put the body in a wheelchair and tried to fly out on an ordinary flight from John Lennon Airport in Liverpool. They even placed sunglasses on the body in attempt to try to fool staff.

I guess nobody had told them that security at airports are a bit different today. At least compared to what they used to be in the old days.

The women are now arrested.

I Love Those Gigantic ...

Airport scan

John Laker, 25, an airport security guard is accused of commenting a female colleague’s breasts after taking photo of her when she walked into a body scan by accident.

His comment was: “I love those gigantic …”

Original post edited July 20. Jo Margetson’s response, as reported by the Sun, removed.

Laker – who is the first airport worker to be investigated for misusing the device – was given a police warning for harassment.

A spokesman for BAA says: “We treat any allegations of inappropriate behaviour or misuse of security equipment very seriously and these claims are investigated thoroughly.”

I think we all remember: “privacy concerns should not prevent the deployment of scanners” and that “air passengers must tolerate some invasion of their privacy.”

Apparently this is too much of a temtaption for young men, no matter how professional they look in their uniforms.
